Teanna brings a wealth of experience in both education and counseling to her role as a Volunteer Coordinator at CASA. With a strong foundation built over three years as a Family Service Counselor, she provided compassionate support to families in need, offering guidance during challenging times. Following this, Teanna spent two years as a science teacher, where she inspired young minds and nurtured a passion for learning and critical thinking. Currently, Teanna is dedicated to empowering volunteers and advocating for the welfare of children in the foster care system through her work at CASA, where she has been for three months. Her diverse background has honed her exceptional communication, organizational, and empathetic skills, all of which are vital to her success in this role. Teanna holds an Associate's degree in Applied Science from Lamar Port Arthur and is actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree from Lamar University.
